The Importance of Determining Accurate Sample Size in Clinical Trials

Determining the correct and accurate sample size is a crucial step in designing clinical trials, as it directly impacts the quality and reliability of the research outcomes. Selecting an appropriate sample size not only ensures sufficient statistical power to detect meaningful treatment effects but also helps in the optimal management of resources by reducing costs and addressing ethical considerations related to the recruitment of surplus participants. The primary objective of sample size calculation is to achieve an acceptable level of statistical power
